Learn the Enneagram at my May 6 Training
The Enneagram was originally taught orally. Long before there were a jillion books and online courses to choose from, this personality model was taught in small groups whose participants agreed to not share it outside the group.
Why? Because teachers understood that the Enneagram is a powerful tool for understanding that’s best transmitted live and experientially.
I first learned the model, as long-time readers of my blog will remember, through reading a book. That in itself was a transformative experience, but I instinctively knew that I needed more. I wanted to interact with experts who could teach me more and to meet others interested in the model. I began looking for Enneagram classes in my area.
Thus began a journey that led me to becoming a Riso-Hudson Certified Enneagram Teacher. Not everyone who sees the value of this framework of human motivation will want to go that far; it’s expensive and time-consuming, to be sure. But anyone who wants to understand themselves and the rest of humanity better can benefit from live Enneagram courses.
So, I’m offering a four-hour training called the Enneagram Discovery Workshop on May 6. I’ll talk about:
- The history of the Enneagram
- The three Centers of Intelligence
- The nine personality types
- The Enneagram Wings
- How to use this tool for personal growth
- And more, as time allows
For each of the nine personality types, attendees will have an interaction that helps them get a feel for the type. It will consist of a repeating question to answer, a short monologue in groups of two or another similar exercise. This also helps break the monotony of just sitting and listening to me talk! And it’s a great way to meet others who are on a similar journey.
I know that there are folks from around the world who read this blog, so attendance isn’t possible for everyone. But if you’ve ever wanted to visit the gorgeous Bay Area of California and its amazing redwoods – and banana slugs! – May is a great time of year to come.
It’s my fervent hope that you will continue to learn about the Enneagram in every way you can. If you’d like to join me for this workshop, here’s the link:
